Technology
is the application of knowledge, tools, and skills to solve practical problems and extend human capabilities.

 

The Foundations of Technology course at T.W. Hunter Middle School is a comprehensive hands-on educational program where students work in a lab setting with a partner in study areas called modules.

During the nine weeks students will have the opportunity to work in three modules. They will spend approximately 12 days in a module going through a step by step lesson plan.

The modules they may choose from are Computer Fundamentals, Robotics, Engineering, Flight Technology,Computer Animation, Digital Photography, Electronics, Computer Aided Design, Alternate Energy, Transportation, Criminology, Weather and Meteorology, and Electronic Publishing.

In addition some students may take part in special projects involving video editing, web page design, and podcasting.

Students will do three Modules at each grade level completing nine modules in their three years at T.W. Hunter.
