Thomas E. Bruce was principal of TW Hunter from 1977 until 1992. Upon his retirement, his assistant principal, Olivia L. Isenberg, was named principal. Michael Shackleford, a former teacher at the school, became assistant principal. Carla Easterling became principal in December of 2002 and Lance Taylor became assistant principal in the fall of 2003.

Lance Taylor left TW Hunter in 2004 to become principal and Mr. Witt joined TW Hunter as assistant principal until he left to become principal. Mr. Perry Morgan and Mr. Ken Genung became the assistant principals in 2004. Mrs. Shelly Petty became principal in July 2007.
