Q:        What is a “Best Practice”?

A:        Best Practice is defined as:

“Innovative project-based learning activities which utilize any form of technology, are easily replicated by other educators, produce the desired educational outcomes, and are effective toward meeting standards of the NETS curriculum and the state curriculum.”



Q:        Who determines a Best Practice technology lesson?

A:        A committee will be formed which includes the Technology Coach, Principal and/or Assistant Principal, and your peers.



Q:        What is the methodology is the review process?

A:        Technology lesson plans will be reviewed along with the teacher reflection checklist.  The Rubric for Technology Lesson Plans will be completed and tabulated to score successful integration.



Q:        How often are Best Practices reviewed?

A:        Best Practice models are reviewed each semester.



Q:        Why do I have to do this?

A:        It was stated in our grant proposal that:

“Teachers research and share best practices in integrating technology into the core curriculum”.



Q:        What is the benefit to me personally?

A:        Awards will be given to those teachers who effectively use technology in classroom instruction.  These awards may include the use of a Teacher laptop for one nine week period, recognition, peer training, and bragging rights.
