Instructions for Teachers

Creating Class Rosters

Start Computer and make sure it is connected to the school network - VERY IMPORTANT
(If the Internet works then you are on the network)

Orchard Log In

  • Click on the Orchard Gold Star icon in the dock
  • Orchard screen appears
  • Login as:  your user  name
  • Enter password:  school password
  • Select new class to create a new class
  • Enter a name for your class- example 1st period math and click OK
  • Click on student tab
  • Select class enrollment ( It takes a few seconds to load.) DO NOT use New Student
  • Use class roll to select students
  • Locate student name (scroll)
  • Click ADD
  • Repeat steps until complete then
  • Click OK when finished adding students
  • Select class tab
  • Select edit class assignments
  • Select assignments on right, click add to place them in left column
  • Click OK when done
  • Log out teacher under file menu when done
  • Exit Orchard
