How to BURN a CD using the Apple iBook Laptop

Create and save a document on the desktop on your iBook.

Be sure to name your document something you can remember and that identifies and describes the file to you. example JohnDoerobotics.doc

Quit all running applications.

Insert a blank  CD-R  into the CD ROM slot on the side of the iBook.

A dialog box will appear and ask you to name your CD.
Name your CD and Set Action to Open Finder.

You will see your newly created CD in a few seconds

Drag and Drop your files onto your CD
You will see a + sign indicating that the files are being copied to the CD
(if you do not get the  +   sign hold the option key down and drag the file to the CD)

After you copy your file to the CD Click one time on CD to select it

Under the File menu – Select Burn Disc

When done eject your CD by dragging it to the trash.
The trash can will change to a eject button and your CD will be ejected.
